Compare the Ninja Foodi range of multicookers cooking functions - Air Fry, Bake, Pressure Cook, Sear/Sauté, Slow Cook, Steam, Grill, Yogurt, Dehydrate, Steam Air Fry, Steam Bake, Prove, Steam Meals, Steam Bread, Steam Roast, Probe & Keep Warm The Ninja Foodi The Ninja Foodi range of multicookers (see bottom of page) offers a variety of cooking functions all in 1 pot... Air Fry, Bake, Pressure Cook, Sear/Sauté, Slow Cook, Steam, Grill, Yogurt, Dehydrate, Steam Air Fry, Steam Bake, Prove, Steam Meals, Steam Bread, Steam Roast, Probe & Keep Warm. My cook book , "99 Ninja Foodi Recipes" includes recipes for all these functions but you can also adapt many of them if your particular Ninja Foodi model doesn't have offer all. My YouTube videos also explain how to use all these functions. The comparison chart below shows the different functions/features that each Ninja Foodi Multicooker offers. Ninja Foodi Comparison Table AIR FRY Ninja say that the 'Air Fry' function means up to 75% less fat than traditional frying methods (when tested against deep fried, hand-cut French fries). The heating element near the top of the fryer emits heat into the air in the cooking chamber (radiation), while a fan circulates the heated air rapidly around it (convection). This combination creates a very intense heat transfer, resulting in a cooking method that's closer to frying than baking. It's much healthier than using a deep-fryer, but with little or no oil you can create crispy browned food faster than oven baking. BAKE The 'Bake' function is similar to baking in a fan oven (convection) but often the food can appear cooked on the outside but be raw in the middle. I suggest generally decreasing the temperature by 20 degrees compared to the standard oven temperature. This cooking process cooks from the outside in. You also need to consider the material of your cooking dish when you decide on the bake time. A metal conducts heat whilst a silicone liner is heat resistant. PRESSURE COOK The 'Pressure Cook' function cooks food with the use of high pressured steam using a minimum of 250ml of liquid. It allows food to be cooked much faster by trapping the steam and increasing the boiling point so that tough meat becomes tender very quickly. Ninja say it’s up to 70% faster than traditional cooking methods. SEAR / SAUTÉ The 'Sear/Sauté' function is the same as cooking in a saucepan on the hob, but you have a very big pot! Great for sautéing vegetables and you can control the temperature. I even used this function to melt ingredients to make Kinder Rice Crispy Cakes ! SLOW COOK The 'Slow Cook' function is a convenient way of creating meals with a cook time up to 12 hours. This ensures your favourite risotto, casserole or tender pulled pork is ready when you get home and will automatically switch to 'Keep Warm' once cooked. STEAM The 'Steam' function can be used to re-heat food (in a pot covered in foil) with water in the bottom of the ninja pot. It retains the moisture in the food so is an ideal use for this function. When using 'Steam' the Ninja allows steam to escape unlike pressure cooking, making it ideal for more delicate food like fish, vegetables and even rice. GRILL The 'Grill' function is a powerful cooking option using high intense heat, perfect for crisping up fat on lamb chops or melting and bubbling cheese on a pasta dish. It’s the hottest option on the Ninja, so it works well for pre-heating when needed. YOGURT Making yogurt is incredibly simple using the Ninja Foodi 'Yogurt' function with only 2 ingredients needed. It’s a lengthy process due to the fermentation but you can walk away and let the Ninja do the work for you. Making your own homemade Yogurt from scratch is ultra satisfying and also very cost effective. DEHYDRATE Use the 'Dehydrate' function to create vegetable crisps, dried fruit snacks, homemade jerky and dried herbs. You can even cook a joint of beef for a pink soft interior with a browned outside crust. STEAM AIR FRY The 'Steam Air Fry' function creates steam-infused air which cooks your food without drying it out. Enjoy healthier fried food that’s moist and juicy on the inside, crispy on the outside. It’s also perfect for quickly cooking a risotto or a one-pot lasagne with a bubbling cheese topping. STEAM BAKE The 'Steam Bake' function creates the most fluffy, moist and light cakes. The steam circulates around your food and can offer protection like a water bath. Delicate custard recipes bake well using this method. PROVE The 'Prove' function is used to prepare your dough for being cooked under steam, by warming it at a low temperature to increase its size. STEAM MEALS The 'Steam Meals' function makes family meals in under 30 minutes, layering mains and sides with the 2-tier rack to create complete, delicious one-pot meals. Try a classic Sausage & Mash with Veg, Stuffed Chicken with Pasta or Salmon, Rice with tender vegetables. STEAM BREAD The 'Steam Bread' function gives several benefits including good crust coloration and shine, and a thinner crispier crust. The steam keeps the crust moist preventing it from solidifying too soon and thus helping the bread expand more. STEAM ROAST The 'Steam Roast' function is great for cooking large joints of meat and whole chickens. It keeps the flesh tender but produces a crisp exterior. PROBE The leave-in cooking 'Probe' is a digital meat thermometer which allows you to cook to temperature rather than time. It monitors the temperature of your food as it cooks so you can enjoy food cooked precisely to your taste without the guesswork. It is neatly stored away when not in use on the side of the foodi. KEEP WARM The 'Keep Warm' function automatically switches on after pressure cooking, steaming and slow-cooking, retaining a safe food temperature for up to 12 hours. Downloading Terms We hereby grant to you a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide license to use the Content for the Permitted Uses only (as defined below). All rights in and to the Content, including, without limitation, all copyright and other intellectual property rights relating to the Content, are retained by Susannah's Kitchen or Susannah Saville, as is applicable. 2. Permitted Uses (a) You may only use the Content for personal use only on your personal devices only. For clarity, you may not use the Content in products for resale, license, or any other distribution. For example, you are not permitted to modify the Content, print it in any form, and sell it to others for consumption, reproduction or re-sale. Any use of the Content that is not a Permitted Use shall constitute infringement of copyright! (b) Restrictions. You are permitted to use the Content for personal use only, although you may transfer files among your personal devices such as phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer. You may install and use the Content in only one location at a time for each file, although there is no time limit on the duration you can use it for. You may physically transfer the Content from one location to another i.e., distributing it among your personal devices. If you require the Content to be in more than one location or accessible by more than one person, you must download the Content from the Site for each such use or individual. You may make only one (1) copy of the Content solely for back-up purposes. (c) Any additional permitted uses must be approved in writing by Susannah's Kitchen. If there is any doubt that a proposed use is a Permitted Use, you should contact Susannah's Kitchen at info@susannahskitchen.uk . 3. Standard License Prohibitions (a) Prohibited Uses. You may not do anything with the Content that is not expressly permitted in the preceding section. For greater certainty, the following are “Prohibited Uses” and you may not, either individually or in connection with others: * use the Content in any form, format, or applications intended for resale, license, or other distribution, whether online or not, regardless of profit or revenue; * use or display the Content on websites or other venues designed to induce or involving the sale, license, or other; * use the Content in books, magazines, newspapers, or any other publication, regardless of whether the final product is offered for sale, resale, license, or other form of distribution; * incorporate the Content in any product that results in a re-distribution or re-use of the Content or is otherwise made available in a manner such that a person can extract or access or reproduce the Content as an electronic file; * use the Content in a fashion that is considered by Susannah's Kitchen (acting reasonably) as or under applicable law is considered obscene, immoral, infringing, defamatory or libelous in nature, or that would be reasonably likely to bring any person or property reflected in the Content into disrepute; * remove any notice of copyright, trade-mark or other proprietary right from any place where it is on or embedded in the Content; * sub-license, re-sell, rent, lend, assign, gift or otherwise transfer or distribute the Content or the rights granted under this Agreement; * install and use the Content in more than one location at a time or post a copy of the Content on a network server or web server for use by other users; * use or display the Content in an electronic format that enables it to be downloaded or distributed via mobile devices or shared in any peer-to-peer or similar file sharing arrangement. 4. Terms of Agreement (a) This Agreement is effective until it is terminated. You can terminate this Agreement by destroying the Content, along with any copies or archives of it or accompanying materials (if applicable), and ceasing to use the Content for any purpose. The Agreement also terminates without notice from Susannah's Kitchen if at any time you fail to comply with any of its terms. Upon termination, you must immediately (i) cease using the Content and for any purpose; (ii) destroy or delete all copies and archives of the Content or accompanying materials; and (iii) if requested, confirm to Susannah's Kitchen in writing that you have complied with these requirements. (b) Susannah's Kitchen reserves the right to elect at a later date to revoke or amend the license granted by this Agreement and replace the Content with an alternative for any reason. Upon notice, sent to the address or contact information provided by you, or such other address as you may advise us in writing to use, from time to time, of such replacement, the license for the replaced Content immediately terminates for any products that do not already exist, and this license automatically applies to the replacement Content. You agree not to use the replaced Content for future products and to take all reasonable steps to discontinue use of the replaced Content in products that already exist. (c) Upon notice from Susannah's Kitchen, or upon your knowledge that any Content is subject to a threatened, potential or actual claim of infringement of another’s right for which Susannah's Kitchen may be liable, you must immediately and at your own expense (i) stop using the Content; (ii) delete or remove the Content from your devices, computer systems and storage (electronic or physical). Susannah's Kitchen shall provide you with replacement Content (which shall be determined by Susannah's Kitchen in its reasonable commercial judgment) free of charge, but subject to the other terms and conditions of this Agreement. 5. Susannah's Kitchen Repr esentations and Warranties (a) While we have made reasonable efforts to provide correct information in the Content, Susannah's Kitchen does not warrant the accuracy of such information. (b) THE CONTENT IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT REPRESENTATION, WARRANTY OR CONDITION OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED REPRESENTATIONS, WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF MERCHANTABILITY, OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. SUSANNAH'S KITCHEN DOES NOT REPRESENT OR WARRANT THAT THE CONTENT WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS OR THAT ITS USE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR FREE. THE ENTIRE RISK AS TO THE QUALITY AND PERFORMANCE OF THE CONTENT IS WITH YOU. SHOULD THE CONTENT PROVE DEFECTIVE, YOU (AND NOT SUSANNAH'S KITCHEN) ASSUME THE ENTIRE RISK AND COST OF ALL NECESSARY CORRECTIONS. 6. General Provisions (a) You specifically agree and acknowledge that you have, in addition to the terms of this Agreement, reviewed the Terms of Service and any other policies or agreements which may be incorporated by reference therein, and to the extent of their incorporation in this Agreement you agree to be bound by them. (b) Susannah's Kitchen's failure to insist upon or enforce strict performance of any provision of this Agreement shall not be construed as a waiver of any provision or right. (c) This Agreement is personal to you and is not assignable by you without the prior written consent of Susannah's Kitchen. 7. Acknowledgement YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ THIS AGREEMENT AND UNDERSTAND IT. IN CONSIDERATION OF SUSANNAH'S KITCHEN AGREEING TO PROVIDE THE CONTENT, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS AGREEMENT. YOU FURTHER AGREE THAT IT IS THE COMPLETE AND EXCLUSIVE STATEMENT OF THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN YOU AND SUSANNAH'S KITCHEN, WHICH SUPERSEDES ANY PROPOSAL OR PRIOR AGREEMENT, ORAL OR WRITTEN, AND ANY OTHER COMMUNICATION BETWEEN YOU AND SUSANNAH'S KITCHEN RELATING TO THE SUBJECT OF THIS AGREEMENT.
