BLOG - MARCH 2026

Hi all and welcome to Spring 🌼

The clocks went forward last night and the weather has been slightly better in the last month. But to speed up the sunshine Michael, Henry and I are going away for 1 week to Marrakech in Morocco on Tuesday. I went there with my mum if you recall about 18 months ago, so we wanted a cheap bit of sunshine, but not too long a flight. Thankfully, we're far enough away from the current middle east troubles !

So I've pre-produced, videos and edited all the recipes which will be published for the SK Subscription, on YouTube, Instagram, facebook, etc whilst we're away. We won't be able to post out any recipe books after Monday 30th March until Wednesday 8th April when we return. During that time, all recipe books will show on the website as Pre-Order.

SO IF YOU WANT TO RECEIVE ANY BOOKS BEFORE 10th APRIL then you will need to order them today, so that we can despatch them tomorrow for you.

Henry has been playing basketball as normal, with no current injuries. It's me and Michael who have all the ailments lately with back, feet and eye issues... there seems to be somehing wrong with one of us at any one time ! Welcome to getting older I guess ?!

It was Michael's 55th Birthday in March so we went our for dinner on the Friday night, then had a few friends round on the Saturday night for drinks, where I made some nibbles/canapés, etc rather than a full-on banquet ! A good time was had by all 🥂😊

On Mother's Day we went with my mum, dad and my brother's family to an indoor mini-golf place which was fun and easy for us all to take part in.

Our not-so-little kitten, Beau, has now been neutered which will hopefully calm him down as he's very lively ! We have some high wooden beams and he's been to the very top which is unreachable so he has to make his own way down. He's only 5 months old so still a little scary to see him up there!

Henry will be 17 in June so he's had a few more "Young Driver" lessons off the road, but will soon be having them on the road which is a scary thought. We also went to a school presentation last week on the University process, if he chooses to go there. How did you cope when your sons or daughters spread their wings and became independent ?

I see lots of you using the Recipes Subscription which is great. I love that it gets my brain working to come up with new recipes for you every week, but do let me know below if there's anything you'd like and I'll add it to the list.
