I had a lovely short break in Menorca with my mum & dad at the start of October. Now the heating is on and the days feel short since the clocks went back an hour in the UK last weekend.
XMAS NINJA FOODI RECIPE BOOK

The Christmas recipe book re-stock arrived on time and we have been despatching lots out every day. It's amazing how many of you support me in what I'm doing, so thank you. I hope you enjoy the Christmas recipes. I really enjoyed creating those (even if it was in July š) and it would be great to see some of your creations posted on the facebook group leading up to and over Christmas.
One of our front windows smashed in September - we think a bird flew into it - and as it's 4m tall (!) we've had to claim on the house insurance for the first time in about 20 years. It makes you realise how much we spend on insurance but never really get much back. However, should the worst happen, it would be a life-saver. The window should be replaced in the next week which will be a relief as it looks a bit of a mess right now.
Health-wise, I've recovered from my appendix removal operation and my dry eyes have improved, but I've had a recurrence of a problem I had some years ago with my ears being very sensitive! A sudden loud noise set it off recently giving me ear ache but the doctor said they're not damaged but just need time to settle. Am I just getting old ??! My mum has just had her gall bladder removed and is recovering well. She's had to change to a very low fat diet and it's a reminder to us all to eat as healthy as possible with a few naughty treats thrown in āŗļø
I'm trying to get back into a fitness routine which involves walking daily (inside on a walking pad) but I must get back to my old exercise regime which I used to do religiously every day. My health issues made me stop and it's now hard to start again as we've been so busy with despatching all the recipe books, creating new recipes for YouTube and life in general.
My car is nearing the end of it's time (it's done over 114,000 miles now!) so we've been looking at new cars, but it's so confusing - Electric is better for the environment and cheaper, but batteries only last 10 years then the car is worthless - Electric/Petrol Hybrid can save some fuel but the battery will still deteriorate like a full electric car - Petrol/Diesel cars are so expensive to run - What do you have ? There are lots of new Chinese car brands launching in the UK and the prices are so much cheaper with all the technology you get on them too. We hope to have made a decision by the next Blog, but maybe you can offer some advice in the comments below ?

I drive a 2L BMW diesel and at over 10 years old I can offer no advice on cars whatsoever, environmentally itās very good as last year I only drive 900 miles, our local mot garage laughs when it goes in and refuses to service it based on the mileage. Living quite rurally itās for emergency use as I prefer to walk everywhere and average around 14,000 steps a day with 2 miles of that exercising our Therapy dogs and the rest either running or walking on a treadmill.
Sadly I struggle with depression after various events of historic abuse came to light while I was a
child and so the eating started, absolute junkā¦ā¦ sweets, crisps I didnāt matterā¦
